news & opinion with no titillating non-news from the major non-news channels.

I am: progressive, not a wild-eyed Progressive; liberal, but shun liberals and Liberals; conservative, but some Conservatives worry me; absolutely NOT a libertarian. I am: an idealist, but no utopian; a pragmatist, but no Machiavellian. I am a realist who dreams.

I welcome all opinions.

Bush Lied!:
   NOT!

For those who still believe all those conspiracy theories and Franken's Lies Lies and more damned Lies, here is the website that has all those declassified captured documents from Operation Iraqi Freedom Documents.

Specifically, The Weekly Standard has been doing a good job sorting through all this and reporting on what is to be found, such as,

Putin Vindicated?

In 2004 the Russian president said that Saddam had planned terrorist attacks on America. New Iraqi documents suggest he may have been right.

and

Saddam's Philippines Terror Connection

SADDAM HUSSEIN'S REGIME PROVIDED FINANCIAL support to Abu Sayyaf, the al Qaeda-linked jihadist group founded by Osama bin Laden's brother-in-law in the Philippines in the late 1990s, according to documents captured in postwar Iraq.

And, for those who see this as yet another grand conspiracy theory, I have only two things to say,

1) We got verifiable documents, you got nut-cases

2) The last spaceship to the Orion Nebula is leaving at Gate 666.
